Hublot
When you look at Hublot prices, you might see numbers higher or lower than the official store price, which is normal. The secondary market means buying from traders or collectors. It does not mean buying from the brand directly. If a specific watch is very popular or sold out worldwide, it carries a market premium. Thus, this means the watch costs more than the retail price. A similar thing can be seen with other luxury watch brands like Rolex and AP.
In addition, prices go up based on high demand, scarcity, or if the company has discontinued the model. Prices in Dubai move faster because the city is an international hub for tourism and luxury trading. Still, the high flow of luxury watches like those from the Hublot brand makes prices very competitive compared to other regions like Europe or North America.

Founded in 1980, Hublot is a relatively new brand when it comes to luxury watches. The name Hublot is derived from the French word for ‘porthole’ as it references some of the earlier models that had circular bezels with screws on them. The design can still be found in the Classic Fusion collection.
Hublot was founded by the Italian watchmaker Carlo Crocco in Switzerland. In its debut at the Baselworld watch fair, Crocco presented a gold case watch paired with a rubber bracelet. At the time, it was a unique fusion as no one ever combined an expensive metal like gold with such a sporty wristband. Since then, the rubber strap became one of the brand’s signature trademarks.
While Hublot always had the principle of delivering the “Art of Fusion”, the brand really took off under the leadership of Jean-Claude Biver who became the CEO of the company in 2004. Under his leadership, Hublot launched some very bold designs and climbed up its position in the luxury watch market.
Buying a pre-owned luxury watch is a big investment. The biggest worry for most people is usually: “What happens if it stops working?” When you buy a used Hublot, the warranty situation depends on the age of the watch and the specific dealer you choose.
First, check if the official Hublot warranty is still active. Modern Hublot watches use the “Hublotista” system, which is a digital warranty linked to the watch’s visual identity. If the original warranty is valid, it transfers to you automatically, and this usually lasts for 2 years. However, the company can extend it to 3 years if you register it properly. On the other hand, if the factory coverage has expired, you must rely on the seller’s warranty, which we call the “in-house” warranty.
Most professional dealers in the secondary market provide a warranty to show the watch is in good condition.
Pre-owned warranties never cover water damage. Rubber seals inside the watch dry out over time, and even if it is a dive watch, you should ask the dealer to perform a pressure test before you take it swimming. An in-house warranty means the dealer uses its own watchmakers to service the watch. It does not send the watch back to the Hublot factory. If you want Hublot to service the watch, you will usually have to pay for that yourself. Always ask for a physical warranty card from the shop with the date and serial number written on it.
