Cannes Film Festival 2025: Watches Spotted This Year
As luxury watch collectors and enthusiasts, our eyes are glued to people’s wrists. So, when an event comes up, rather than looking at what outfit people are wearing, we are always excited to know what watches they are wearing. If you are as excited as I am, let’s get into it and see what our favorite actors wore at the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
Jeremy Strong – RM 16-02
Known for his intense roles and equally distinctive personal style, Jeremy Strong was spotted wearing the Richard Mille RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat. This terracotta-toned wrist watch is crafted from Quartz TPT and it features a skeletonized dial. With a retail price around AED 890,000, it’s clear that Strong has an appreciation for horological artistry. This is not his first Richard Mille sighting as he has previously been seen wearing the ultra-thin RM UP-01 and a diamond-set RM 72-01.
Tom Cruise – Rolex Day-Date
Tom Cruise didn’t have to wear anything flashy and he decided to rather keep things subtle with the classic and evergreen Rolex Day-Date. He picked his white gold Rolex Day Date featuring the Meteorite dial with baguette diamonds on the hour markers. This is a distinguishing piece that is extremely difficult to get via the retail stores. The retail Rolex watch price in UAE for this one is currently set at AED 225,500. The Day-Date’s clean lines and flawless craftsmanship made it the perfect match for Cruise’s red carpet swagger.
Tramell Tillman – Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso
Tramell Tillman is definitely a man with a taste as he was seen carrying a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso on his wrist. One of my personal favorite watch collections is the Reverso collection. And I only like it when I spot Reversos on the wrists of my favorite artists. Tillman was seen wearing a yellow gold version of the watch, which definitely looked more classy than the steel variant. The bracelet also looks amazing and I am sure it fits more comfortably when compared to the leather strap.
Pierfrancesco Favino – AP Royal Oak Sand Gold
The Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino was spotted wearing the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in 18k Sand Gold. Released in 2022, the Sand Gold Royal Oak models have become extremely popular recently. The one Favino was wearing even featured a Perpetual Calendar, making it very special. This Audemars Piguet watch is currently trading hands for around AED 1.8 million in the secondary market, as it is extremely hard to get at retail.
Anson Boon – TAG Heuer Carrera Day-Date
Anson Boon, the “Mobland” star, made his Cannes debut with the TAG Heuer Carrera attached to his wrist. He was spotted wearing a Carrera Day-Date with a blue sunray brushed dial. The timepiece offered a sporty yet polished vibe to his tuxedo.
Austin Butler – Breitling Chronomat
Austin Butler was seen wearing a Breitling at the festival this year. He was seen wearing a Breitling Chronomat 32, with the 32mm being slightly smaller than what most men would wear. However, he carried it like a charm. He wore it with confidence showing that its not about the dial size but about what suits your wrist the best.
William Abadie – Chopard L.U.C Quattro Spirit
“Emily in Paris” star William Abadie was seen wearing a Chopard watch at the Cannes festival this year. His wrist had a Chopard L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25, which is a very classy dress watch. It is one of the nicest looking men’s watches offered by the brand.
