Leaked Rolex Models
It’s very important to remember that until Rolex officially announces new models, these are just rumors. However, some of these ‘leaks’ are based on information coming from people who have seen the development of these watches. Some are from the widely available information such as trademark filings and patents. It is also noted in the past that sometimes the brand itself releases these images to get an early review from the enthusiasts. If something becomes controversial from the leaks, the brand might just play it safe and pull the plug on it. Whatever might be the case, we can still have our own opinions on the leaks we just saw coming in.
A Tiffany Daytona
This is an image that just doesn’t make it for me. I don’t exactly like the concept of having a Tiffany Dial on a Yellow Gold watch. The Oyster Perpetual Tiffany did really well for Rolex in the secondary market, especially after it was discontinued. But, having a Tiffany blue dial on a Daytona, that too on a Yellow Gold one, just doesn’t cut it for me. I would rather want this to be just a leak more than anything else.
Green Dial Sky-Dweller
Now, this is a dial color I can get by. Green dials have done really for most Rolex models including the Daytona, Day-Date and even the Datejust. So it only makes sense to bring one for one of the most complicated Rolex watches – the Sky Dweller. I even like the concept of having a green dial on a yellow-gold variant of the watch. It goes really well with it. I know this is just a leak but if it actually gets released, I’d be waiting in line to check one out in person.
Rolex Land-Dweller
This is perhaps the most talked-about ‘leak.’ After all, this is the more believable one because of the leaked images of the patent filing for the name. Taking inspiration from the old Oysterquartz watches, the Land Dweller is expected to bring in an integrated bracelet. Besides that, it is expected to look and function just like a Datejust. Maybe it is time to use the Sell My Watch option on our website to get rid of your current watch and put that money into a whole new Rolex model – the Land Dweller.
GMT Master II Sprite with a Green Dial
The Rolex GMT Master II Sprite is a watch that I have personally never liked. I understand it’s a Destro watch and it is supposed to be the way it is but I just don’t get the concept of it. The steel models of the Pepsi and the Batman ship with a Black dial already so it only makes sense to offer another dial color on the Sprite variant. With the bezel already black and green, it would be a wise choice to go for a green-colored dial. Now, again these are just rumors but a Green Sprite is still more believable than a Yellow Gold Daytona Tiffany.
