RM 17-02 in White Ceramic: The One That Stands Out
The white ceramic version is the one that instantly grabs your attention. White is not a new color for Richard Mille, but here it feels especially sharp because of how it contrasts with the dark movement and the coloured accents across the dial.
The case uses white ATZ ceramic on the front and back, giving the watch that crisp, almost futuristic look. Thanks to the titanium case and the ceramic front and back plates, the watch feels extremely lightweight. Paired with rose gold and blue accents on the skeletonized movement, this one definitely looks something else.
This version feels like Richard Mille leaning into a cleaner palette while still keeping the energy high. Honestly, if I were to pick a brand-new Richard Mille today, I would definitely consider picking up the White Ceramic version of the RM 17-02.
RM 17-02 in Black Ceramic: The Subtle, Yet Charming One
When you pick up an RM, you often want it to flash a bit more than a watch from any other Swiss brand. However, there are still people who prefer keeping things a bit more subtle. And the black ceramic variant is just for them. On this variant, the TZP black ceramic front and back bezels sandwich a rose gold case, making it the perfect combination.
Unlike the white ceramic version, this one gets bold yellow numerals that just contrast the black bezels very well. Again, this one gets the blue and rose gold accents on the skeletonized movement, which makes things visually very, very appealing.
But Why RM 17-02?
RM 17-02 debuted first in 2022, featuring a manual winding movement. Initially, the timepiece was made available in a White Quartz TPT version and a Blue Ceramic variant, both of which looked very stunning. In 2024, the Swiss watch manufacturer decided to do something subtle with this reference by releasing a full Titanium version of it.
Inside sits the RM17-02 calibre, a manual-winding tourbillon movement with hours, minutes, and a power-reserve indicator. Offering a power reserve of 70 hours, this movement features a free-sprung balance with variable inertia. The watch also features a function indicator that lets you see whether the crown is at winding, neutral, or hour-setting position.

It’s one of those RM movements that blends classic haute horlogerie with the brand’s fascination for technical performance. Nothing is decorative for the sake of decoration. Every component is functional, yet the visual effect is unmistakably sculptural.
With this new aesthetic refresh, RM aims to please more of its clients who can now enjoy this piece of art on their wrist with the choice of their favorite materials. As always, getting a newer reference directly from the AD is going to be challenging. So, you can always contact WatchMaestro to get hold of any Richard Mille watches within 48 hours.
