Omega Releases Special Edition Watches for Paris Olympics 2024

Being the official timekeeper of the major international multi-sport event, Omega had to do something special for the Paris 2024 Olympics. And they did just that by releasing a couple of special edition watches. Besides having the Paris 2024 and the Olympic logos on the case back of the limited edition watches, they also made these watches special in other ways. Here's all you need to know.

Omega Paris 2024 Watches

Since 1932, Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games. For an event that takes place only once in every 4 years, the Swiss watch brand had to do something very special. They began by releasing the Speedmaster Chronoscope to commemorate the 100-day countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympics. They later surprised every watch enthusiast with the release of the other special edition watches for the event. Here’s a look at the special edition models.

Speedmaster Chronoscope

What would be a better way to commence the Olympic Games 2024 than to release a special edition Speedmaster series? Being an official sponsor of the Games, Omega did have to come up with something extraordinary. The Speedmaster Chronoscope was released in Stainless Steel and Moonshine Gold variants. The vintage-inspired Chronoscope features three different scales. There is a Tachymeter scale on the bezel and the dial of the watch features a Telemeter scale and a Pulsometer scale.

Since the Olympics is all about timing, having all these three scales on one watch makes it the perfect watch for the Paris 2024 Games. In terms of aesthetics, Omega has done a great job here by offering a vintage vibe with the Chronoscope and its three-link bracelet. The watch is available on both metal bracelet options and leather strap options.

While it is a great watch, I personally would pass on it since the dial looks too busy for me. But someone who likes to appreciate different scales on a watch would definitely love this piece. In case you are looking to buy one, the Full Steel model will set you back about AED 37,950, whereas the Full Moonshine Gold variant comes with a sticker price of AED 198,900.

Bronze Gold Edition

Omega Bronze Gold Olympic

While you might not be participating in the Games for that Gold or Bronze bezel, you can always treat yourself to the newly released Omega Bronze Gold edition. This 39mm Special Edition timepiece, features a special bronze gold case. Overall, the watch uses all three metals that are considered achievements in the Olympic Games – gold, bronze, and silver. With the launch of these Omega watches, the Swiss watch brand shows how committed it is to remain the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games for years to come.

While the case is made out of 9K bronze gold alloy BG 859, the dial has been constructed out of AG 925 silver. The hands are made of 18K Sedna gold with a PVD bronze gold coating on them. Overall, just the materials used make this timepiece an extremely special one. To top it all off, the watch even features the Paris 2024 and Olympic Games logos on the case back. The retail price of the watch has been set at AED 46,350.

Seamaster Diver 300M

With many events focusing on aquatic adventures, Omega had to do something special under its Seamaster collection as well. And for this one, I would say they picked the right watch. With the Seamaster Diver 300M. The Paris 2024 Special Edition watch gets 18k Moonshine Gold PVD treatment on the bezel. This allows the brand to keep the price of the watch lower while offering you the look of a Gold bezel.

At a retail price of about AED 34,400, offers you a 42mm Stainless Steel case with the special Paris 2024 and Olympic Games logos on the case back. With a 30-bar water resistance rating, this watch is perfect for your swimming sessions.
